How to Avoid Potential Trouble During a Roadside Emergency

February 21st, 2018 by

Roadside emergencies could happen in any weather and at any time of the day, the best thing is to be prepared in the event your vehicle is ever involved.

Always call for the police first, then stay in the locked vehicle until help arrives. If a stranger offers assistance, speak to them through the window of your locked car.

If the emergency were to happen at night, try to keep the car as well-lit as possible so other drivers will be able to see the disabled car clearly. If you do have safety orange triangles or road flares, place them further from the disabled car than you might think. It will give speeding cars the chance to see the disabled vehicle and slowdown in enough time so there isn’t any further trouble as a result.

The crew here at McKay’s Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram FIAT wanted to share these safety tips with our growing community. If your vehicle is in need of repair schedule an appointment with us today!
