The Jeep Selec-Terrain Traction Management System

The power generated by the large engines in Jeep Grand Cherokee trims evoke a question. What about traction? Jeep produced a new concept in traction management with their proprietary Selec-Terrain Traction Management System.

Jeep’s system of traction management allows the driver to select between five modes of power distribution: Auto, Sport, Snow, Sand/Mud, Rock. The system works with intelligence, distributing power to the wheels at different percentages depending on the terrain. The Auto mode begins by sending 45% of power to the front wheels and 55% to the rear wheels. In Auto, the system senses demands and adjusts to different modes. The auto mode gets the best fuel mileage and is a great way to begin your driving experience whether on the highway or off-road.

At McKay’s Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram FIAT in Waite Park, MN we have Jeep Grand Cherokee trims on the lot with this option included. Come test drive your new Jeep.
